5 Highly Effective Ways To Detach From Limiting Beliefs

At the time, I didn’t even recognize it for what it was…
I mean, it wasn’t like I spent day-in, and day-out feeling sorry for myself…
Rather that I had this underlying thought pattern buried so deep in my subconscious that it felt like part of me.
I was scared, fragile and not living up to my true potential.
Every day I was plagued by these crazy beliefs that just weren’t true!
“I am not good enough to pursue my passion…”
“Everyone will judge me if I step out of this mess and actually make something of myself…”
I made excuse after excuse… not intentionally… I was just that kind of person.
Like most people…
I was absolutely riddled with fear.
Back then, I never would have imagined living life any other way.
This was before I discovered the Law of Attraction…
Before I actually realized that I had all these limiting beliefs holding me back from what I truly deserved.
Happiness, abundance, love, and blessings.
Who would have thought that so much could come from a few simple mindset tweaks?
And to come to me!
Of all people!
As pessimistic and miserable as I was…
I mean, if I can do it, I truly believe that anyone can.
It didn’t happen overnight… but just knowing what to do gave me my power back.
Over time I was able to detach from my limiting beliefs and build a better life for myself…
So how did I do it?
There are a few key techniques I used to help me reprogram my stinkin’ thinkin’.
But we’ll get to that…
I also want to show you one of my absolute favourite guided hypnosis programs that has, without a doubt helped to replace my negative thoughts with a much more positive mindset…
But first, let’s quickly talk about limiting beliefs in general…
What Are Limiting Beliefs?
Limiting beliefs are deep-seated subconscious thought patterns that are usually developed over a long period of time…
If someone tells you that money is a limited resource once, it’s probably not going to affect you too much…
But if this false belief is repeated, your subconscious mind will soon adopt it as truth.
In a way, it’s the unintentional brainwashing that takes place in everyone’s life to some degree.
This usually begins during childhood…
The way a child sees the world generally shapes their beliefs right up until adulthood.
So if you grew up hearing your parents argue about money and there never seemed to be enough to go around, it’s highly likely that you are still holding onto a lack based mindset.
In other words…
You are continuing the poverty cycle.
The stress you experienced during childhood manifests as a limiting belief that money is scarce and this causes you to attract even more lack into your life.
Why Do We Have Limiting Beliefs?
It may shock you to learn that limiting beliefs are not inherently bad…
In fact, they were originally the ego’s way of protecting us from danger.
Back in the stone age, survival often depended on these fear-based reflexes.
Ancient humans relied on their mental instincts to keep them from making life-threatening decisions.
Now, in this day and age, we do not need to walk around in fear of saber-tooth tigers and other prehistoric beasts…
But it’s still reassuring to know that those little voices of self-doubt actually do have our best interests at heart…
They mean well even if they are kind of annoying…
So why am I telling you all of this?
You see, the first step to releasing limiting beliefs is to accept and love them for what they are…
Limiting beliefs reflect the past journeys that made you who you are today.
After all, in the Law of Attraction “like attracts like”, so any frustration you may feel toward your limiting beliefs is only going to manifest as even more frustration…
The idea is to reach a point of acceptance, love, and knowing that nothing can hold you back.
It’s not about getting rid of your limiting beliefs altogether, it’s about detaching from the belief that they are truth.
5 Highly Effective Ways To Detach From Limiting Beliefs
1.) Guided Hypnosis
Now personally, this is one of my favorite ways to rewrite my subconscious programming!
Because not only does guided hypnosis have a powerful impact on the subconscious mind, it takes very minimal effort to apply.
I love that I can simply press play and relax on my bed as I am guided into a state of pure bliss.
Guided hypnosis works by bypassing the conscious thinking part of the brain.
This means that positivity is absorbed deeply to recreate new personal truths.
Use guided hypnosis on a regular basis and you will soon find that any negative beliefs and programming will be overwritten by more optimistic thought patterns.
What’s even more exciting is that most guided hypnosis programs can be used while you sleep.
This is awesome news for a few reasons…
The first is that everyone can use hypnosis even those of us with the busiest of lives.
And the second is that during sleep we operate under delta and theta brainwave frequencies…
These frequencies are the very same patterns that are active consistently throughout early childhood…
And as we know, the minds of children are like sponges!
Hence why we adopt the majority of our beliefs during our earliest of years.
If we can access these deep subconscious and unconscious brainwave frequencies during sleep, it makes sense why this would be such a powerful time to use hypnotic suggestion right?
Personally, I like the Hypnosis Bootcamp audio tracks because they haven’t just helped me reprogram my thought patterns but I feel they have strengthened my manifestation power as well.

Affirmations are another one of my favorite ways to clear limiting beliefs.
You see, the subconscious mind stops developing at 7 years old, which means that we must teach it as if it were still a child…
By creating a routine for your affirmations, your mind will slowly but surely start adopting new beliefs that are much more allowing of whatever it is you are manifesting.
Another thing I love about affirmations is that you can use them in whatever way suits your lifestyle…
Before you choose which affirmations you would like to use, it’s a good idea to first recognize which limiting beliefs you might be suffering from…
Once you have identified this, turn it around to create a new empowering belief.
For example, if your limiting belief is:
“I am not confident enough to reach my full potential.”
Your new, empowering belief (or affirmation) might be:
“I am a confident person living up to my full potential.”
You would then recite this on a regular basis, therefore, reprogramming the subconscious mind toward the reality you choose.
3.) Being Present To Negative Thoughts.
Being present is one of the most underestimated skills for creating your own reality.
The idea is to spend more time experiencing your life through your senses instead of your mind.
When you focus on your senses, you are present.
Now, this takes practice but over time you will begin to find yourself experiencing more and more time completely in the moment.
So how does this relate to limiting beliefs?
Well, whenever we are not present, we are being controlled by our thoughts and emotions.
We are fully immersed in our heads where all sorts of negativity takes place…
How many times have you become trapped within your own painful memories?
You see, when you live in the mind, you can only go one of two places…
The past or the present.
And although this is not always a bad thing, it’s easy to be swept up in the pain of the past or the anxiety of the future.
Being present will not allow you do rewrite limiting beliefs but it will help you to detach from them and have more control over your thoughts in general.
Let your negative emotions be the trigger that reminds you to be more present.
This will allow you to step out of your feelings and observe them instead of being completely taken over by them.
Finding more gratitude out of each day will help you to detach from as well as rewrite your limiting beliefs.
This works because as you find more things in life to appreciate, your mind gradually becomes more appreciative in general.
As you become more and more optimistic about your life, negative thoughts and limiting beliefs start to struggle to find a way in.
This is because gratitude is one of the highest vibrations you can emit…
You see, when you feel good about yourself and your life it becomes very difficult to be affected by subconscious falsehoods.
What’s more, gratitude is a vital step for manifestation in general.
Think about it, the Law of Attraction is governed by the rule that “like attracts like”.
This means that the more you feel grateful, the more opportunities you will attract in order to keep that gratitude flowing.
OK so this one is huge and something that took me way too long to realize.
How often do we mentally criticize ourselves for having limiting beliefs?
If you have ever been annoyed at yourself or others for contributing to your negative thoughts, you are not alone…
But believe it or not, this way of thinking is actually a lot more destructive than helpful…
Playing the blame game or feeling bad about how your limiting beliefs have affected your life is completely and utterly counter-productive…
Remember, by feeling negative, you attract more negative experiences into your reality.
So what should you do instead?
Love yourself unconditionally, limiting beliefs and all!
Remember, the subconscious beliefs you have developed are not your fault!
And they are not your families or friends fault either!
In fact, everything that has ever happened in your journey has served to help you reach this very point.
Everything you have experienced has contributed to who you are today…
If it weren’t for your struggles perhaps you wouldn’t have even realized that you are a powerful creator!!
Always show appreciation, love, and acceptance for both your blessings and your lessons.
