The Law Of Assumption is supposed to be 10x more powerful than the law of attraction…
But you’re probably wondering…
What is it and what’s the main differences between traditional Law of attraction methods?
Well that’s what you’re going to find out in today’s article!
Is there really any difference or can it unlock new ways of receiving what you want from the universe?
Let’s get into it shall we?
What Is The Law Of Assumption?
Derived from Neville Goddard’s teachings, the law of assumption states that you can create anything within your reality by assuming the feelings of your desires already manifesting.
It’s a belief that everything in your reality is already there, and it’s about the perception you create in your mind to receive it.
This is because, according to Goddard, nothing exists outside of your own consciousness, so you can create an entirely new experience based on where your consciousness is now.
Let me give you an example.
Let’s say you’re about to meet someone on a date for the first time.
If you already assume the date will go well and that you’ll have a positive experience, then chances are you will.
However if you’re plaguing your mind with negative thoughts & emotions about saying the wrong thing, or doing something embarrassing then chances are this could happen also.
Essentially both realities can manifest, and by shifting your mindset to how you want it to be then you’re aligning with the reality you assume will happen.
If you’re wanting to learn more about the law of assumption, I highly recommend taking a look at Neville Goddard’s video down below.
“We don’t attract what we want, we attract what we are.”
What Is The Law Of Attraction?
So by now you probably have a clear understanding of what the law of attraction is.
But in order to differentiate the two, it’s important to understand them both.
The law of attraction entails that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes.
It’s the principle that “Like Attracts Like” and that everything created within your reality is because of how you think & feel about a given situation.
A common misconception is that you cannot have negative thoughts in order to manifest.
This is a problem for newbies because they assume they don’t have what it takes to acquire their dreams & desires.
When this isn’t true at all, having thoughts that are deemed “negative” should not be ignored, but instead embraced in order to overcome them.
But hold on a minute…
This sounds very similar to the law of assumption…
Perhaps you’re scratching your head a little, so let’s dive deeper into the key differences.
The Difference Between Law Of Assumption & Law Of Attraction:
The two are very similar, but the law of attraction is about focusing on your mindset to mirror the exact experiences, and the law of assumption is based upon how you comprehend your current reality will play out.
Ultimately it all comes down to perception…
What YOU believe will happen now and onwards.
The law of attraction is based on how you feel in the present tense.
Unfortunately this can be more volatile as you’re relying on your emotions to create your outcome.
This means if you’re thinking & feeling positive but then something happens out of your control, then you may harbor these negative emotions that can manifest outcomes you wish you never had.
However by assuming your desires will in fact manifest, it means you’re more grounded and understanding of your reality.
Negative occurrences won’t have a long lasting impact because you’re still focused on what you want to see manifest.
You treat these as lessons as opposed to burdens, and will continue to focus on the outcome until it comes into fruition.
Basically, you’re looking at life with a half glass full, no matter how much spills out.
By assuming how everything manifests it’s creating a strong mental resilience to life’s biggest curve balls.
It breaks down how you perceive everything, so you can attract higher vibrations.
So Which One Is Better?
I don’t believe that either one is better than the other.
I also believe that manifesting ultimately comes down to the individual person and what works best for them.
There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to attracting your desires, despite what some may believe.
However if I was to choose, I’d simply pick both.
The LOA and the law of assumption can ultimately pair well together because you’re broadening your understanding of what it takes to manifest.
Think of it as casting a bigger net into a river of conscious expansion, the bigger the net, the bigger the catch!
Broadening your understanding of any topic will always help you achieve what you wish to pursue, and it’s no different when it comes to creating a more fulfilling life.
And it doesn’t matter what you’re looking to achieve.
Whether it’s more money, happiness, fulfillment, having more tools in your spiritual satchel will always help!
How To Use The Law Of Assumption:
Since we’re on the topic of expanding our consciousness, let’s learn how to apply the law of assumption!
I’ll break this guide down so you can start applying it straight away.
1.) Envision Your Movie Script:
Since this law is based on already knowing your desires will manifest, the best way to get started is by creating your own movie script for how your life will turn out.
We all know that when you watch a movie it has a plot, and no matter how many times you watch it the outcome is always the same.
This is a perfect way to get started because you’re solidifying what you want from the universe, and will be confident it will turn out how you envisioned it to be.
First thing you need to do is think of yourself as the main character of your movie.
Think about the present moment & how it will pan out in the future.
If you take a look at this movie graph down below, you can see how many Hollywood movies play out.
How far along are you in this movie currently?
Your goals should tie into the “resolution” part of the plot, however, you may be in the “exposition” moment right now.
So it’s important to remember that the scene you’re in right now is not how the movie will end.
The best way to start your plot is by using creative visualization.
Visualization is a method of envisioning your desired goals.
Start by seeking a place of comfort and closing your eyes.
Then meditate on the desires you wish to see come into your fruition.
This should be a fun task, and there’s no need to get caught up in the small details.
You simply need to know when it ends (or manifests) to get it right.
2.) Cut The Bands Of Resistance:
The next step is cutting ties with harmful energies that are weighing your consciousness down.
When you let go of these burdens it not only improves your ability to manifest, but also helps speed it up.
There are multiple ways of doing so, but the key is to not allow anything to stand in your way.
Here are some powerful ways to let go of resistance:
- Have more fun with your present moment.
- Practice meditating.
- Create a manifestation box.
- Surround yourself with people who believe in your goals & desires.
- Listen to subliminal affirmations.
- Focus intently on what you want.
Letting go of resistance is about being aware of what is happening in your present reality, without it affecting your ability to focus on your desires.
3.) Use Law Of Assumption Affirmations:
Practicing affirmations will not only lift your spirits, but it will also help you consistently believe in what you want to see happen.
Consistency is super important, that’s why it’s also important to start your day with assumption mantras.
Mantras are simple phrases you speak aloud to continuously assume what is already yours.
Here’s some powerful affirmations you can use right now to get you started!
- As I assume, so it will be.
- I assume the highest and best for myself.
- My world is a projection of my consciousness.
- I know my desire is already accomplished.
- My assumptions serve my highest good.
- If I can assume it, I can create it.
- I assume I am the person I wish to be.
- I’m staying persistent and pushing through setbacks.
You’re welcome to write these down, say them aloud or simply think about them from time to time.
Again, don’t worry about the small details.
Meaning it doesn’t need to be said every day in order for them to work, and you should only use them when the time feels right.
4.) Apply The “I Remember When” Technique:
This method is about pushing away from your present which in return will align you with a brighter future.
This will help eliminate doubts, erase negative thinking, and completely shift your mindset.
It’s called the “I Remember When Technique”.
Essentially what you’re doing is speaking as if your struggles have come and gone, so you can detach from them.
For example, you could say…
“I remember when I didn’t have the money to afford this”.
As if this is your past self, and not your current being.
This allows you to confidently speak about yourself as an entirely new person.
It will help you move into a higher vibration & move away from emotions that are holding you back.
You can try this with anything you’re dealing with, and it helps a lot!
5.) Take Inspired Action:
Inspired action is acting on your desires in a positive way.
It comes from divine energy to take a risk, perform a task, or simply open a new door towards your manifestations.
It’s the “aha” moment or spark of genius found in everyone.
Inspired action is not something that is forced, nor should it feel unnatural.
It’s the universe’s way of helping you along the path to succeed with your desires.
Despite it being a natural occurrence, there are 3 ways to encourage yourself to take inspired action.
1.) Listen to your intuition:
Your intuition will always call in “divine timing” and it’s important to be aware of it when it happens.
It often gets misinterpreted for procrastination.
And often occurs when you’re working on a task but your heart is telling you to do something else.
Now I don’t advise you to stop everything you’re doing to follow your intuition.
So if you feel your intuition calling, it’s a good idea to write it down and come back to it when the time is right.
Remember that your stroke of genius won’t run out that quickly, and you can always take action on it later on.
2.) Unlocking your “Flow State”:
Have you ever become so focused on something you lose track of time?
This is what’s called the flow state.
Unlocking your flow state comes from achieving complete harmony when working on a task at hand.
This is how artists, musicians, and inventors reach their peak performance.
To reach a flow state you simply need to get started on a task that makes you feel inspired and uplifted.
It’s that simple.
A flow state is hard to achieve otherwise, and if you’re not “feeling it” then simply come back to it later.
3.) Acting On What Feels Right:
Always follow your heart.
Another great way of taking inspired action is by simply doing tasks that make sense.
Have a sit down and think…
What would make me happy right now?
Doing something that makes you feel good may not always align with your goals, and that’s fine!
You see feeling an overall sense of fulfillment in your life will flow into other aspects of your life too.
And when you’re feeling good, good things begin to happen!
Conclusion:
I hope you’ve enjoyed my take on the differences between law of attraction & law of assumption.
The key takeaway is to act on what feels right for you.
There is no right or wrong way to manifest & that’s what makes it so special!
