Keeping your thoughts focused on your desires is vital for successful manifestation!

After all, energy flows where your attention goes…

Focus allows you to know exactly what you want and therefore, pull it into your reality by any means necessary.

Focus keeps you on track and prevents you from moving in directions that don’t serve your highest vision.

And above all, focus is the glue that holds your thoughts, emotions, and actions in complete alignment with one another.

So how can you channel more of that?

How can you maintain focus for longer periods of time in order to achieve more and reach your goals?

This article aims to answer that very question.

10 Proven Methods To Stay Focused On Your Dreams

1.) Write Them Down.

Any goal you have should be noted down on paper!

It doesn’t matter if you do this through scripting, jotting plans in a journal or writing your intentions in an affirmation type format…

Write your dreams and desires down to create a focus point!

Here are a few more reasons why this is important…

  • Helps to solidify what you want with the universe.
  • Builds a solid picture within your subconscious mind.
  • Helps you to know exactly what you want.
  • Stops you from wavering off in different directions (shiny ball syndrome).
  • Gives you something to look back on when you have achieved your goals.

Writing out your intentions is a powerful first step for any manifestation and it is going to set a foundation for you to maintain focus.

So if you haven’t already, get out a pen and a note pad and declare what’s coming to you on paper!

2.) Vision Boarding.

If you really want to inject more focus into your manifestations, try creating a vision board and hanging it on your bedroom wall.

When you wake up each morning, the first thing you will see is a colorful fusion of all the amazing things you are working towards.

This will leave a lasting impression on the subconscious mind and you will get a focused headstart to the day.

I know for me, even when I don’t sleep so well or when I wake up in a bad mood, seeing my vision board always inspires me to get up and move into action!

To create a vision board, all you need to do is get a large sheet of card and fill it with the things that represent your dreams and desires!

Draw on it, write on it, cut out images from different magazines…

Really get creative!

You can hang your vision board in your room (like me), or your office or just wherever suits you best.

Your vision board is a visual representation of your goals and just looking at it will be a great reminder to stay focused!

3.) Follow a Routine.

Create a routine that will inspire you to stay on track with the daily tasks that keep you moving forward with your goals.

Your routine will likely involve some daily manifestation techniques such as visualization time, affirmations, etc…

However, it is equally important that you include action steps in your routine.

Now, this doesn’t have to be anything major… even the smallest tasks can keep you on track with manifesting your dreams…

Things like…

  • Getting up early to get to work on time.
  • Eating healthy.
  • Getting regular exercise.
  • Having social time.
  • Getting to bed at a reasonable hour.

Adding these kinds of things to your routine will help you to lead a balanced life filled with positivity and success.

The tasks in your to-do list may not always be directly related to your desires but that’s okay

The whole reason you have the routine is to stay focused on your success and to let in as few distractions as possible.

Even if your core focus moves throughout the day, you will still know that in a roundabout way, everything you are doing is contributing to ultimate alignment with your desires and the highest version of yourself!

4.) Make Your Subconsious Mind A Priority.

Did you know that staying focused on your dreams is 10% conscious and 90% subconscious?

What does this mean?

Well, it takes up a lot of mental space to stay consciously focused on your desires….

Imagine spending the entire day just thinking…

Thinking about your new car, your home… the vacation in the Bahamas that you plan to take…

I mean it’s not exactly practical.

There are going to be times in the day when have to move your focus toward other things.

And that’s okay…

Your focus does not have to be at the forefront of your mind at all times.

In fact, it’s actually more helpful if you can program your focus into the subconscious.

Think of your subconscious thoughts as thoughts taking place in the periphery of your mind.

If you can program desired thoughts into your subconscious, they will continuously float throughout the periphery of your mind even when you are focused on something else.

You will notice that these floating, subconscious thoughts will only rise to the surface during quiet moments throughout the day.

When positive thoughts geared toward success and abundance begin to pop into your conscious mind, this is when you know that they are active on a subconscious level.

The more you commit to a routine that allows conscious focus, the more your desires will begin to imprint on the subconscious mind.

And getting your desires to operate on a subconscious level really is the key to effortless manifestation.

Here are some other ways you can program the subconscious mind to amplify your manifestations.

  • Reciting affirmations.
  • Using subliminal affirmations.
  • Listening to guided hypnosis tracks.
  • Engaging in activities/conversations that are aligned with your goals.`

5.) Be Aware of Shiny Ball Syndrome.

I see this one so often!

People who set an intention for one thing… and before the ink in their manifestation journal has even dried, they are already on to the next!

Shiny ball syndrome is a term for wanting to change directions every time you see something new and exciting.

Now here’s the thing…

If you are manifesting a romantic connection but then planning a single night out with your friends, you are putting a contradiction on your own alignment…

If you want to manifest the money for a nice home but you also don’t want to be tied down to one location then there is a conflict of interest within your own subconscious mind.

Shiny ball syndrome causes resistance!

Now I am not saying that you can’t have it all… you can!

But make sure you really think about the big picture.

Imagine yourself living the life of your dreams.

What does it look like?

How do all the pieces fit together?

Now write it down and stick to it!

Don’t let the next shiny object tear you away from the path you are already on!

6.) Feed Your Soul.

In order to stay focused on your dreams, it’s important to feed your mind, body, and soul with things that keep you in a state of alignment!

Eat nutritious food to keep you feeling uplifted, get plenty of sleep, surround yourself with people who inspire you!

If you like to watch television in the evenings, watch shows that resonate your own goals in some way.

If you use social media, follow people who are already living your dreams.

Allow yourself to consume things that awaken your desires!

The trick is that even when you are resting, continue to trigger your subconscious mind in order to build focus within your own journey.

In other words, eat, sleep and breathe the lifestyle that you want!

The more you feed your mind body and soul with positive reinforcement, the more you make a vibrational shift toward all of your desires manifesting into your reality.

7.) Make Cuts.

Just as it’s important to feed your soul with things that are going to raise your vibration, it’s also important to cut out anything that is perhaps holding you back.

Take a good look at your life now.

What holds you back from your desires?

What makes you feel bad when you should be feeling good?

Take note of the things or people that take your focus away from your desires and come up with a plan to distance yourself.

Environmental factors play a huge role when it comes to staying focused and you really want to be careful about what and who you surround yourself with.

Everything in your life should serve to uplift you in some way.

Stay focused on being in alignment with your success by making cuts where necessary.

Remember that pruning always leads to growth.

8.) Meditate.

Meditation is a great way to break free from thought chatter that may be distracting you from staying focused on your dreams.

Often our minds are overwhelmed with the thought chaos that takes place within them.

I mean really, its no wonder that we struggle to focus!

Meditation is a practice that allows us to have better discipline over our thoughts.

Research shows that those who meditate perform better in concentration tests than those who do not.

Meditation also teaches us to “observe” thought patterns as opposed to being consumed by them.

In other words, we can view our thoughts and feelings without having to be completely immersed in them.

This is especially helpful where distractions are concerned.

The more you meditate, the more you will be able to catch mental distractions before you become consumed by them allowing you to maintain periods of deep focus for longer.

9.) Be Present With Your Manifestation Techniques.

When using manifestation techniques try to remain present in order to give your dreams and desires your undivided attention.

It’s easy for your mind to wander while working on your 55×5 method or creating a vision board so in order to maintain focus, concentrate on what you are working on in this present moment.

Whenever you catch your mind wandering… focus on your senses…

How does your body feel?

If you are holding something… take a moment to experience it on a sensory level…

Perhaps you watch the shape of your words emerge as your pen glides along a sheet of paper…

Maybe you take a deep breath and feel the air filling your lungs.

Once you have taken back control of your attention, divert it back to where you want it to be…

Visualize yourself as if your desires have already manifested.

Presence is a great exercise that you will get better and better at as times goes on.

Before long, you will be able to pull your focus back from any idle thought or distraction and therefore have better mental discipline.

10.) Know The Difference Between Focus And Obsession.

Being focused on your dreams and desires is important but beware of focus that evolves into an unhealthy obsession.

Don’t let your focus take over to the point where you are not taking care of yourself in other ways.

Being overly focused can cause stress, depression and in some cases failure.

If you are following your dreams from a place of faith and knowing then you can never go wrong!

Have faith that everything you are asking for it already yours.

Trust in the process and don’t stress over trying to control it too much.

When you become obsessed with something, the vibration that is emitted out into the universe is one of desperation…

And a feeling of desperation can only evolve from a feeling of lack.

Like attracts like so be aware…

Desperation will always attract more of itself.

Reach for your goals with positivity and faith, not obsession.

Remember, your #1 focus should be you!

Believe in yourself!
